A Simple Guide to Spiritual Baths

A spiritual bath is a ritual practice, not just a bath. It is a mindful pause, often paired with prayer, affirmations and intention. Whether you prefer a full soak, a shower or a soap, you can bring the same intention to it.

Three ways to bathe with intention

  • Liquid ritual baths. Prepared and blessed baths for a full ritual the traditional way. Colors of baths vary.
  • Handmade soap bars. A way to bring your ritual into your daily wash.
  • Shower gels. A good choice if you prefer to gels over soaps.

A simple cleansing sequence

It is best to start by clearing away what no longer serves them, then move on to the intention they want to welcome. A common order is:

  1. Break Condition (bath, bar or gel) to release negative energies.
  2. Clearance (bath, bar or gel) to cleanse your aura and reset.
  3. An intention bath such as Love Me, Divine Protection or Keys to My Kingdom.

Making it a ritual

  • Dim the lights and light a candle associated with your ritual.
  • Recite a psalm, a prayer or your own affirmations as you bathe.
  • Afterward, allow your candle to burn and/or anoint yourself with a matching ritual oil.

A few reminders
